Research Interests:
1. Molecular mechanisms of environmental stresses-associated neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. The environmental stresses include stress hormones (via glucocorticoid receptor), environmental pollutant (via aryl hydrocarbon receptor), and hypoxia (via hypoxia-inducible  factors).
2. Roles of growth-associated protein 43 (GAP43) in the synaptic plasticity and astrocyte activity during neural development and post-injury repair.
3. Neuroprotective mechanisms underlying the prevention and therapy of white matter injuries.
